Like fried rice, Bahmi Goreng can accommodate whatever leftovers you have in the cupboard. Indonesians like to serve it with extra chilli sauce on the side.
Ingredients :
500 gms meat (pieces of pork, ham or chicken) 5 large onions 3 garlic cloves 1 head of cabbage 2/3 bunch of leeks 1 package bean sprouts egg noodles tomato ketchup soya sauce parsley Aashirvaad salt and pepper
Method of Preparation :
Fry the onions and garlic until golden in colour. Add meat and cook for about 20 minutes on low heat. Add cabbage; cover and cook on low heat for another 15 minutes. Add leeks and bean sprouts; cook for another 10-15 minutes on low heat. Add noodles, then ketchup, soya sauce, parsley, salt and pepper to taste. You can add more spices if desired.
Serve with extra red pepper or chilli sauce. Serves : 3-4
